Well... Nutrition has become a MAJOR passion of mine. Let's take this one in sections...

Let me take you back in time a few years: I had seriously zero self-control when it came to food and I gained a lot of weight in just a few months. This began after high school and into my freshman year of college… Talk about a freshman TWENTY. Seriously, it happens.

Not only was I unhappy with the way I looked, but I also NEVER felt good. I was constantly tired, sick, and super low on energy. This created a negative impact on virtually every other area of my life.

Then, it gets worse: I knew I was unhealthy, that it was negatively affecting me, and mainly, that I was uncomfortable with the way I looked. This is what most people don’t know about me: for a really long time, I went deep into the “starving” phase - trying to get as small as I could, as fast as I could. Yes, I got smaller, but NO I did not feel any better - in fact, I felt MUCH worse. It took me a little while to get my head on straight, but I knew if I didn't start taking care of myself, my health would be compromised.

A MAJOR change happened: I needed to eat three nutritious meals a day, begin exercising, and develop healthy habits. I began doing some research and taking notes about nutrition. I truly fell in love with the subject and started trying out new recipes and making the much-needed shifts to become healthier and happier.

Today, I feed my body and soul with wonderful foods, I wake up early every morning, I found forms of exercise that I LOVE, I am so happy with the way I look and feel - without having my life revolve around numbers, and most importantly, I am comfortable in my own skin.
